We describe Emerald and Lime as “earth-friendly” or “eco-friendly”. These are quite general terms, so what do WE mean when we use them?
At Emerald and Lime we want to produce products that are lovely, but it’s equally important to us to consider the impact of doing so. We want Emerald and Lime designs to be printed on, and with, materials that show concern for the environment. We only use commercial printers that have been Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and/or ISO 14001 certified.
We look carefully for our suppliers and are pleased that they say:
- Our notebooks, note cards and prints are made from 100% recycled card and papers.
- Our business stationery (business cards, letterheads, compliment slips) has been litho printed on 100% recycled materials using vegetable oil based inks.
- The postal packaging we use contains a high percentage of post-consumer waste (jiffy bags 60%, board back envelopes 70%).
- The clear display bags and bubble wrap we use is biodegradable.
We know that this is just a tiny, tiny contribution and we’re still learning about what we could do better. We’ll keep learning and trying our best to incorporate respect for the planet and people on it into what we do.
We'll update this policy from time to time as Emerald and Lime evolves. If you have any questions about the "green credentials" of our products, please just email me (email@example.com) and I'll do my best to help.
